Valcourt Grand Prix 2025
Every year, thousands of spectators and hundreds of athletes gather for this internationally renowned winter motorsports event.
The Valcourt Ski-Doo Grand Prix, recognized as one of the largest winter motorsports events in the world, took place from February 7 to 9, 2025, attracting thousands of snowmobile, snocross, motorcycle, and ATV enthusiasts. This 43rd edition was a record-breaking one, with over 500 athletes registrations of all ages, starting from 4-year-olds, from 5 different countries around the world (Canada, USA, Finland, Norway, and Sweden). With a total of 180 races spread over three days, spectators were able to witness intense and spectacular competitions.
This year, the combination of exceptional winter conditions and approximately 300 hours of artificial snowmaking allowed the organizers to offer high-quality courses, providing pilots and spectators with an unforgettable experience. The competitions took place on carefully prepared ice and snow tracks, with help of Prinoth snow groomer ensuring everyone's safety and enjoyment.
Women were honored thanks to a new partnership with Chicks and Machines. They wanted to get involved in the event as a media collaborator. Their goal: to highlight women in motorsports such as snowmobiling. Women represented 38% of the registrations.
Among the highlights of the event, Gunnar Sterne from Chicago won his third victory in Valcourt, emphasizing the importance of this competition in the world of winter motorsports. Emil Harr mentioned several times that it is his favorite track.
Organizers estimated that over 30,000 visitors came to Valcourt to attend this 2025 edition, confirming the growing popularity of this event over the years. They garnered 500,000 online views on the FloRacing platform, with 272,000 views on Saturday only.
With all these visitors, the Valcourt Grand Prix is an eco-friendly event, aware of the need to reduce its ecological footprint. Thanks to the implementation of the green brigade, more than 8 yards of waste were collected for recycling.
The 2025 Valcourt Ski-Doo Grand Prix once again demonstrated its status as a must-attend event for winter motorsports spectators, offering high-level competitions in a festive and friendly atmosphere, making the Valcourt Grand Prix the event of the year. Its reputation, scale, and ambiance would not be possible for the organization without the presence of the 300 volunteers who came back year after year.
Spectators are already awaiting the next edition, promising even more spectacular shows and exceptional performances. The 44th edition of the Valcourt Grand Prix will be held in 2026.
