Features

We kept the hydrostatic drives for the Leitwolf H2-Motion vehicles to ensure ease-of-use. Using our proven hydraulic setup means having the same components for service and maintenance which makes life easy when servicing the vehicle.
Moreover, our tried-and-tested hydraulic pumps and motors ensure smooth operation, power when needed and fast response times.

First presented in 2020, this concept vehicle is the world’s first snow groomer powered by an electric motor that receives its energy from a hydrogen fuel cell. The emission-free machine has an output of 400 kW/544 hp which is even more powerful than the standard diesel Leitwolf.

The world’s first snow groomer powered by a FPT Industrial 6 in-line cylinder XC13 hydrogen combustion engine was presented in 2022. Being similar to a diesel setup it is very familiar for operators and technicians. The 13 liter engine delivers 338 kW/460 hp and 2,000 Nm/ 1,475 ft-lb of torque.

The Leitwolf H2-Motion can be filled to 700 bar to achieve a “full tank”. This means that a compressor station with hydrogen storage is needed on the mountain. Hydrogen can either be produced on-site, or delivered to the refueling station via a low-pressure pipe.

The refueling time of the vehicle is highly dependent on the refueling station. A modern refueling station with infrared communication will be able to fill the vehicle in around 15-20 minutes. The speed the vehicle can be refueled is limited by the heat produced when gas is transferred to the vehicle tanks. The hydrogen is stored in tanks that are mounted on the back of the machines allowing for running times of up to four hours.
